The Advantage of a One-Stop Shop: Why Great Lakes Granite and Marble Stands Out

When planning a home renovation, especially one as significant as installing new countertops, the process can often feel overwhelming. Many homeowners find themselves bouncing between suppliers, fabricators, and installers—coordinating multiple steps while hoping everything goes smoothly. This is where Great Lakes Granite and Marble sets itself apart with our unique one-stop shop approach. By keeping every step of the process in-house, from stone selection to installation, we provide a seamless, efficient, and high-quality experience for our customers.

Everything Under One Roof

Unlike many competitors who either stock stone or fabricate it—but rarely both—Great Lakes Granite and Marble offers a fully integrated experience. Our expansive and staffed warehouse is stocked with a wide selection of granite, marble, quartzite, quartz, and porcelain slabs. Customers can browse and hand-select the perfect material for their space, eliminating guesswork and ensuring they get exactly what they envision.

Viewing full slabs is very beneficial, instead of selecting from a small sample. Natural stone is a great example of nature’s beauty, and each slab can vary dramatically. Quartz is more uniform and predictable but to view the full slab will give you a feel for the movement and scale of the pattern.

Once a selection is made, there’s no need to coordinate with an outside fabricator. Great Lakes Granite and Marble’s in-house team takes over, managing the templating, fabrication, and installation process. This direct approach eliminates middlemen, reducing the chances of miscommunication, errors, and delays while also keeping costs competitive.

The Benefits of a Streamlined Process

Choosing a one-stop shop for your countertops provides several advantages:

Consistency and Quality Control

With all operations handled under one roof, there is a higher level of quality assurance. From material selection to the final installation, every stage is managed by the same team, ensuring precision and accountability. You will work with one project manager to select your stone, schedule your templating (measure), and schedule your installation. This person will also coordinate with the in-house fabrication team to ensure your stone is laid out the way you selected.

Cost Savings

By eliminating third-party fabricators and middlemen, customers can avoid unnecessary markups. The pricing remains straightforward, with no hidden fees or unexpected costs.

Faster Turnaround Times

Coordinating with multiple companies can lead to scheduling conflicts and extended project timelines. At Great Lakes Granite and Marble, everything moves efficiently from one phase to the next, ensuring a smoother and faster installation process.
